Program overview

The Stanford Graduate School of Business is launching the Physicians Executive Program (PEP), funded by the Doximity Foundation. This is a one-of-a-kind leadership experience designed exclusively for physicians. Through a blend of virtual preparation, immersive on-campus learning, and collaborative project work, participants will strengthen their ability to:

FAQ

  • Who should apply?

    Physicians aspiring to lead within the C-suite of hospitals and healthcare systems. Physicians who currently hold leadership roles, such as division chiefs, and intend to continue on this trajectory within their hospital or healthcare system. All applicants must have a medical degree from an accredited medical school and an active U.S. medical license.

  • Is prior business training required?

    No. The program is designed for physicians with diverse backgrounds who want to strengthen their business and leadership skills.

  • How many participants will be accepted?

    The cohort is intentionally small to maximize interaction, mentorship, and peer learning.

  • What is the time commitment?

    Participants should expect to dedicate time to a virtual two hour kickoff, a self-directed 4-week virtual learning path, and five days of in-person classwork at Stanford GSB.

  • What is the cost of the program?

    Complimentary, tuition is funded by the Doximity Foundation.
