We will be in Haiti for 1 week in November providing primary care services to Haitians of all ages, birth to elderly. We also provide routine school physicals for the 1200 children that attend the school there at Kobonol Mission. We are the only source of primary medical care that these people receive annually. We also provide parasitic treatment for all the school children and the mission director has told us that they are now gaining weight and have fewer abdominal complaints. We provide basic medical care and also bring with us medications to treat their skin issues, GI issues, gynecologic issues, acute burn/wound issues, etc. This will be the third trip I am making to the Kobonol Mission.

While we lack the ability to treat ongoing chronic medical problems, we are able to address acute medical needs and work to resolve their medical issues. We provide patient education on hand washing, dietary means to reduce hypertension, etc.
