Trip Photos & Recap

USTA Ghana Missions 2025 was exceptional. It was the first time USTA has extended it works to the Northern region of Ghana. USTA partnered with ACC, GAHS, Tamale SDA Hospital and Hope Channel Ghana in organizing this maiden mission trip in the Northern Ghana. Most of the beneficiaries of the mission were people from the deprived communities. There was a daily long queue of people for diabetes, hypertension consultation and education at the Tamale Dapkema Palace grounds. Patients who have been off medications because of financial difficulty were supplied with medications for free. About 1200 people were screened for eye disorders. Those that needed medications were supplied for free. About 80% of those screened received reading glasses. There was eye surgical camp, where about 413 surgeries were completed at multiple hospitals in the Northern Ghana.
General Surgery cases including hernia and lipoma were performed at the same period at Tamale SDA Hospital. Over 72 general surgery cases were performed for the good people of Tamale and beyond. In addition, about 800 people were also screened for Dental disorders. Almost 80%, also underwent various dental procedures including scaling and polishing, teeth extraction etc. In humility, over 4500 lives were impacted at the end of the mission trip.
I am very grateful to Doximity Foundation for the assistance extended in making USTA Ghana Mission 2025 a reality.
