Provide anesthesia service to unserved community in Ethiopia
Local healthcare providers and the general population. There is a need for low-cost to no-cost healthcare.

All of the cases focused primarily on microplastic procedures for patients with disfigurement from trauma or large tumors. This was especially meaningful for this patient population since many struggled with the stigma of visible changes, and the surgeries helped restore appearance and improve functions related to massification and other maxillofacial movements. The collaboration was also valuable for both the visiting and local medical teams. We were able to share anesthesia and surgical techniques they had not seen before, and they showed us practical ways to problem solve in a setting with limited resources.
