I am traveling with the Global Health Impact organization. We will provide medical support and clinical education to rural communities of Belize. We will help educate both adults and the youth about variety of medical topics to help improve their health literacy. The GHI group pairs alongside local healthcare professionals to deliver medical care and education in a variety of ways.
All ages. We will be working with both children and adults.
The expected impact is to leave the rural villages knowing the individuals health literacy improved so they can live more healthy lives. Also, the hope is that we can make differences in the children’s lives by empowering them to change the trajectory of their health and well-being amidst the never-ending international inequalities that exist especially in the world of health.

We had the opportunity to treat over 100 patients with a variety of conditions in the St Margaret’s village of Belize. We helped educate patients on the importance of healthy food choices, routine medical care, and signs/symptoms that would necessitate a trip to their local doctor. We saw all ages of patients from infants to the elderly. We used the resources we had available to help address any medical conditions.
