Trip Photos & Recap

I worked in the Psychiatry Department at Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation, in Georgetown, Guyana, partnered with Northwell's Center for Global Health. I had the opportunity to work with psychiatry residents and attends to serve both inpatient and outpatient clients in the capital city of Georgetown, as well as at smaller regional hospitals in the towns of Bartica and Suddie. It was such an honor to experience the country, the culture, the people, and to learn about the ways psychiatric care is delivered in Guyana. I am grateful for the time and hopeful to return.
