We anticipate that by partnering with the local emergency medicine residency program in Mozambique, and with their interests at the forefront, we will be able to contribute educational experiences of value for the local emergency medicine residents in Mozambique.
The local emergency medicine (EM) residents in Mozambique were the ones impacted. During the course of teaching topics ranging from pediatric airway emergencies to pediatric trauma assessment, there were meaningful questions and discussions. Additionally, there were sessions in which verbal case discussions were run and on a separate occasion there were cases that were simulated with a manikin. These were well received by the local EM residents.
