A week long surgical mission trip in Comayagua Honduras servicing vulnerable population that would not have access to surgical care without the services our team provides. I will be a CRNA on this trip and will be providing high quality, evidence base anesthesia to the people of Honduras
People in and surrounding areas of comayagua Honduras. Free surgical care and who would not be able to have treatment without our teams help
This will be my 3rd year serving with this group and we have been able to safely complete 100-110 surgeries each trip. That’s 100 patients that would go untreated without our assistance. It’s always a blessing to care for a vulnerable population and so rewarding

This was my 3rd trip serving with Operation Hope Medical Missions in Honduras, and I still can’t fully put into words what this week does for my heart. It resets me and fills my soul with so much joy.
We completed 89 surgeries, each one an opportunity not only to bring healing, but to share the hope of Jesus. These surgeries are free of cost to the patients, and all the patients are the poorest of the poor in the country.
We partner with a mission hospital that was built and established by the Catholic Church San Benito José Medical Center (SBJ). There is a criteria to be seen and treated at SBJ that includes proof of that financial need. Patients travel from all over the country to receive care. We met many this week who drove 6-8 hours to have surgery at SBJ, because they would never receive it otherwise. It is a need that we struggle to understand in America
The patients are so incredibly grateful and kind. And the kids…so brave. Watching little ones walk back to surgery with their heads high and a smile on their face will never stop humbling me. This week offers such a different perspective, and it reminds me how meaningful it is to care for people in its purest form.
I will forever be grateful for the career God has blessed me with and the opportunity to serve alongside such an incredible organization
