Operation International is a group of skilled surgeons, nurses, and health care providers who travel to remote, underserved communities to treat patients with surgical intervention and assist and educate local medical staff. A group of locals in Kenya will receive free life-changing surgeries in the week we will be operating. We will provide general, plastics, and urology surgeries for patients in need in the community, while educating local surgeons and nurses on safe techniques and medical training.
Access to safe surgical and critical care is a luxury in rural Kenya. Our team will provide care to this underserved population at the Kakamega University Hospital. Locals will receive free surgeries and medical staff will be provided education and training.
We are looking forward to providing safe surgical care to kids and adults in the community. Last year in Uganda, we performed 100 successful surgeries in the week we were in Rakai, Uganda. We are looking forward to sharing our skills and knowledge with the local team of doctors and nurses as well!
