It was a successful mission trip to Hue, Vietnam, with ReSurge international. We did many cleft and Craniofacial surgeries, including orthognathic (jaw) surgery, tumor debulking, and TMJ surgery. One of the most significant cases was a patient with bilateral TMJ anchylosis, who could not open his mouth more than a few millimeters from a previous trauma. We were able to release the ankylosis to give him normal mouth opening. We operated on 4 to 6 patients every day for three days straight. We saw follow up patients from the year before. The last day, we saw all postoperative patients and had an educational session with lectures. It was truly a wonderful experience; multiple patients were impacted.
